Please note the following:
Disable the "Offline / LAN" option in CS2DDISable the checkbox "Offline / LAN" (or run the console command "sv_lan 0"). You find the option under "New Game" in the tab "Server".
Configure your Firewall(s)Configure your firewalls (if you have any). You have to allow all traffic of CS2D. It uses UDP Port 36963 by default. Please use www.google.com or you firewall manual to setup your firewall! we can't explain here how to do it because every firewall is a bit different!
Configure Windows FirewallWindows XP/Vista has its own firewall! You have to configure or disable this firewall too.

Router Setup (Port forwarding)
ESSENTIAL IF YOU ARE USING A ROUTER!!! Everyone who uses a router has to configure this device too! There are at least 2 things to consider (please use your router manual or Google for information!)
- Router Firewall: You have to configure it correctly!
- Portforwarding: The used port (normally UDP 36963) has to be forwarded to the local (LAN) ip of the PC where the server runs.
- Moreover many routers have options like "Applications" or "Virtual Server". You should add CS2D there too!
- Most routers have a DMZ option which disables all security systems of your router and allows ALL traffic to pass. You can enable this option when you are too lazy to setup your router correctly. However this is a high security risk and is not recommended (you still have to setup your software firewalls correctly when you use DMZ!)
- Most router control panels can be opened with addresses like http://192.168.0.1 (starting with 192.168. in most cases, the 0.1 at the end can be different)
IT STILL DOES NOT WORK?!
If you configured everything correctly and it still doesn't work, please check the following points:
Please check all settings again! Read the manuals of your firewalls and your router and use Google to find additional information! Make sure that you are using port 36963 for your server. Of course you have to change the port in your router/firewall settings too when you are using another port in CS2D! Close all applications you don't need (especially filesharing tools!). All programs which are using the internet could block the connection or the required port. Make sure that the U.S.G.N. is online and adds your server to the list!- run the CS2D client
- click "Find Servers"
- click "Filters", disable all, click "Okay"
- check if there is an entry with your IP or your server name
( this is your internet ip )
When the U.S.G.N. doesn't accept your server ask someone else to join by IP ( this is your internet ip ). The problem is probably caused by the U.S.G.N. (or offline/lan is enabled) when this works. It is possible that certain internet service providers are blocking the port for CS2D. However this is not the reason in most cases. Ask your ISP when you tried everything else and when you are sure that you configured everything correctly. Did you set a password and nobody is able to join because of it? Did you enable U.S.G.N. only and nobody joins because of it? Did you set a low number of max players (for example 1)? Do you use a custom map (and maybe disabled maptransfer) so nobody is able / wants to join? DNS Problems: If your server works (with join by ip) but does not appear in the serverlist, open sys/usgn.dat (at the CS2D directory of the server) with a text editor and replace the first line (usgn.de) with 85.214.102.60. Save the file and completely restart the CS2D server. Also check the official F.A.Q. page of CS2D for additional solutions www.CS2D.com/faq.phpNOTHING HELPS?
With a chance of 99% the problem is caused by wrong router/firewall settings or by one of the other points mentioned here. Please check all your router/firewall settings again VERY CAREFULLY!
PLEASE use your manual or search the internet to find a guide for your firewall/router!

All new threads about this topic will be closed or deleted! Also please never ask me (DC) about that problem! This thread already contains all information I can give you. So asking me is useless.
