I don't hate Arcanists... Sure it's enjoyable, but probably not as awesome as CC for a few reasons...
1. More weapons
2. More maps
3. Customizeable weapons and maps
4. It's "free-er" than Arcanists
5. Better graphics [or at least in my opinion... so count this out xP]
because I don't see it at Feature.

@Vibhor: yes.
@AMD32: you can load simple bitmap images (bmp) as maps. paint is your editor - or photoshop or whatever you want. everything which is magenta (#FF00FF) will be transparent (sky), everything else will be terrain.
however it's planned to have an additional in-game editor as well.

Yes you can. Make sure to add the "sky color" you know that pink or purple color that in sprites. So far as i know your maps can have 32 bit color. Of course the in game editor "WILL" be necessary before maps can be played. The in game editor obviously will allow you to place spawns, triggers, etc...
