the screenshot looks nice so far, can you upload further ones maybe?
also, if you are interested in this, you could try and contact BiGSiD, he made the Stranded 2.5 Mod which basically also improves many textures but also models and such. maybe you can help each other out to combine the best things of the mods of you both
As far as more screenies goes:
I could keep going.. but that's good for now? Yes, that is the first island. And yeah, the fire looks just as good animating.

BiGSiD is quite busy at the moment, so you should try contacting Jason13579 who is actually liably for BiGSiD's Mod.

That would be awesome.

Nice work, but nothing really new... Try BiGSiD's... (and improve it...!)

When I search BiGSiD I don't find anything he posted since '09.
See the links in my post above...

That said, Minecraft has 1000's of texturepacks... Isn't one more addition a good thing regardless? I checked out his name and looks like his hasn't posted since last year on thread I found with him... I can upload somewhere if someone know's a good uploade site.
I prefer a high quality texture pack instead of many low quality texture packs...

For what it's worth, here's another screenie.
Screenshots often allow only a rough assessment of textures... :p
Who tells me, that you're not using huge 8192x8192-textures which slow down the performance dramatically...?

They won't touch your cpu unless it's 20 years old.
I'm running SII on a Zuse Z3.

It is too bad tho - that there isn't somewhere to upload even a texture pack for Stranded 2 officially like with other survival games. Tho - I fear not - Stranded's day WILL come!
You should check the download section...
As you said, you've seen these textures before.. somewhere... in some downloads section..somewhere.. so the best of luck to this community!

At any rate, you, being the first person to respond, sound skeptical about these textures in reference to quality/resolution
Don't take it amiss. Just already heard to much promises here...
And therefore scepticism seems to be quite appropriate...

and my overall question about where to upload texture packs in the first place. Thank you again for your help here, but on second thought, maybe I'll just take my game production skills elsewhere.

Don't worry... just bad timing (for uploading new textures). And yes... the download section is not that neatly arranged and full of senseless stuff...
But we're still searching advanced developers for our mod - S2LiS... (if you like the topic 'future')

Also feel free to take part on other mods and help to improve that game.
I just wanted to mention one other thing. I might still keep this as a separate texture pack as I'm not aiming for realism so much as just updating the look of the game for those with powerful PCs.
Either way I plan not to rush it.. I want to make sure I've played through the game a few times to see what still needs what and at the same time not make it too big of a download.
Also, I changed the fire sound to a softer crackle instead of the loud roar - I guess that should be a separate upload.

That's right. You have to play that game a few times if you want to have a good start with any modification of it.
