btw getting radar size might be good.
If you're placing special images depending only on your radar position so everyone else would see dislocation. Which looking weird until they set their radar size to your size.

After I got so many optional things, now it makes sense to add such options. For example settings like 4 by 3, resolution, radar, lighting quality is quite important now.

I have shown this already. Well this just show that server is aware of player settings. However this wont be featured in first steam release.

It's currently not planned to translate each and every string in the game. Especially not the editor stuff. Primary aim of the translation is and was to make the game itself more accessible.

Especially some of the settings and in-game strings should be added to the translation in future but it has no super high priority right now because I think the game is playable quite okay even with those not being translated.

Editor and more options won't be translated unless CS2D turns out to be mega successful on Steam.

However, the standard mode with fog requires tactical teamwork more than other modes, making it a hardcore mode that will bring even more joys.

Whenever I browse servers for a standard mode with fog session, there's little active ones.

That's why I think up this idea: encouraging people play more standard mode with fog by introducing a Match Ranking System. People can only rank up by playing standard match, in which two teams has the same amount of players (3v3,5v5,etc). Players buy guns and nades with their money earned each round, and use them wisely to victory. The team first reach a specific number of rounds will win the match, gain their ranking points.

That's what I am thinking. I really hope more people will play standard fog match.

If by a different game mode you mean completely different game mechanics that vary from one to another community designed one, it is possible but not really feasible.

Lua is implemented into CS2D, so it is actually possible to make them officially published ones. There are various maps out there that can be taken into consideration, like Dog Houses and Mini Games.

But, You see, CS:GO has a large player base and yet they have few game modes/events. The only events are simply yet another PvP and/or PvE games.

Since the game was now released on steam a few suggestions:

More advanced server browser: Make it possible to select more game modes at once, for example Standard and Deathmatch by adding checkboxes in front of their names. Also make it possible to add a Gamemode Tab into the serverbrowser, maybe even activate it by default if you are using a high resolution like Full HD. //EDIT: Just realized that their is already a gameMode column, I have overlooked it because it's only a small icon instead of written out.

Buy script: Add an ingame buy script feature. I know it can be done by scripts, but for more accessibility an in-game feature would be nice. Click trough the teams and the weapons you want to add to your buyscript, maybe even with an special game mode feature, and assign an hotkey.

It could be an issue but what about an higher resolution by default, could you run an benchmark before starting the game the first time, or at least one config/setup program (like many games do), where you select your desired resolution. The low default resolution could be deterrend for new users. The worst case would be that the pretty much drop the game before opening the options menu.

I would like to see an working rank system with your STEAM ID alone, not sure if it's possible to just auto import the steam ID into the usgn database, or if it would take up too much space on your database.

Achivement suggestions:
If you link an USGN id/US Account with your steam account, which has been created before the steam release, award us with an Hipster Achievement, probably something like "Played CS2D before it was cool" :wink:

If you buy Nightvision googles award us with an Douchebag achievement, or something like "I have no idea what to spend my money on" "First world problems". Because let's be honest their is no real reason to buy the night vision in cs2d. If there are some special maps by now, sorry

Some sort of Headshot achievement, because there are no headshots "Headshot... wait what"

//EDIT²: If you leave the buyzone without full ammo, and come back a few seconds later just to buy ammo there could be an achievement like "Someone forgot to buy ammo... again!!"
