In many forums that deal with games, people get angry about "newbies" who ask - in their eyes - stupid questions about how this or that is done in the game.
It indeed is bad for the readability of the forum, if lots of little threads with such cleverly chosen headlines as "PROBLEM!!11 NEED HLEP!1" jam the forum. A suitable solution is a central thread for such questions. There's already an equivalent one by the name of "Blöde Fragen" in the German forum.
Ask here in the future, if you do not know how to go on in the game. And please use the spoiler tag if your question reveals something about the campaign - keep in mind that mainly people who haven't got through the campaign yet will be around here. Speaking of the campaign: Also read the Adventure FAQ, if it's about the adventure mode. Some questions are very frequent and start to bore us.

5 years later, I've got this to add:
If you want to search through this thread, you can use the ordinary search tool and type this thread's number 47369 and whatever is the keyword for your problem.
If you don't know how to make a hammer, type "47369 hammer". Thank you casualGamer for this idea!
Also the forum software won't accept this thread's original title "Newbie Questions", so I must alter it...

On the fourth Adventure island, where can I find bananas? I have learned the language of the natives, and got a list of items to get. I have everything, except the bananas.

Now, I have walked all around the island looking at the treetops, but couldn't see any bananas growing on trees. Did find some coconut palms near the village, but those aren't accepted.

I remember reading on these forums that you can tame monkeys, so I thought maybe a tamed monkey brings you bananas, but I don't know how to tame them, either. Nets don't work, and even though I have read something indicating that I might need to throw food at them, I can't figure out how to throw anything other than spears. I enter the inventory, click on a food item (I tried with mushrooms), press 'T' to make it appear in the bottom right corner of the screen, and... nothing. I can click the mouse button or 'E', it won't be thrown away.

So, my questions are:

- Where can I find bananas on the fourth adventure island?
- How can I tame monkeys?
- If the answer to the above is "throw food at them", then how do I throw food? As in, what button do I have to press?

The only food you can throw is raw meat and bananas, for taming raptors and monkeys respectively.

Bananas grow in bunches around some palms, just like coconuts do. Their leaves are different from other palm leaves -- thicker, wider, darker, sturdier-looking. They're hard to spot at first. They grow bananas at a rate of about one per few days. Wander the island until you find a straight, tall palm with wide leaves like that and you should see the bananas up in it. Either jump up high enough to pick them or knock them down with the slingshot.

If anyone's similarly lost, I've found two groups of banana palms: if one stands in front of the village, facing the main entrance, there are a few trees right off the gate (within firing range, unfortunately), and there's another group to the left of the village on the seashore.

Yes. Just the same way as with grain or grapes.

He can search you some food and materials when tamed.
Just go to him and press [E] to get a menu.

If there are no lion stones, you won't be able to build it. And I dunno wether these appear on random maps.
Build a mere dugout instead and start a bigger map next time.
