old Newbie question-teleport stone

Hi there. I'm quite new to the game (only just got off of 1st island...damn parrot!)

I am currently stuck on the 2nd island. The pirate has left me and i have found his message and found the right stone. It says that I need 25 children of the sea (which I have read up on and found it meant fish, clams or starfish). I have 25 fish and put them on the stone and tried to use the stone.

Nothing has happened. Can someone please help me?

It should obviously work with fish as well. Make sure they're not cooked and that you place the right amount onto the right stone. On my first playthrough I placed like 20 cooked fish on the wrong stone and wondered why shit didn't work, kek.

Raw (!) fish and clams definitely work. Maybe seaweed as well, not sure. You are probably using the wrong stone if you don't see any message/effect and don't hear any sound.

Tried again. still not working.

2b clear, I did manage to follow the instructions to get to THE rock, but it has never told me anything to do. I put 18, 20 and 28 clams on ti and noting happens, and i click "use" on the stone and still nothing. tried it standing on the stone and not.

PS on the banana issue and coconuts, I never could get the slingshot to do anything against them. but i shot them down with arrows just fine.

dug on and around every damn stone. nothing. PLeASE help?

well, I finally went back in the 2.5 mod and the stone worked for some reason. was able to totally finish the game. Thought it would be at least a little longer. losing all my stuff was cruel, though. Still a game worth playing and fun. wold like to see a lot of the mods all in one version and additional adventures available from the main menu. sigh! yeah, I know it's OLD. I Don't mind.
would've really liked to be able to get of the boat and bum around the home base for as long as I want, instead of just an overhead glimpse. I mean since the video was of it full 3d, it was coded, right? so theoretically you COULD have... Maybe sell off stuff and get "rich" or create means to make stuff to sell at home for fun and money.
