fixed attention whore upper case title. please don't do that again How do you know it if only you can join? I mean how do you know this? Maybe you aren't showing up on the server list therefore stopping people from connecting? Try getting someone near you ( ur neighbour or somethying ) to connect to the server via IP, if that doesnt work then you need to accept that you have Offline/LAN turned on. DC Admin Offline
they are in the LAN list because they are in the same local network as you.
it is absolutely normal that you can't see your own server in the INTERNET list if you are checking it from within the same network. this is caused by routing etc.
it happens on many but not all systems / networks.
you have to ask someone else who is NOT in your local network to check if your server is in the serverlist or not. you can't check this yourself!
this point is also covered by the FAQ so please read it before asking: http://www.cs2d.com/faq.php?show=net_nojoin#net_nojoin edited 1×, last 03.01.11 11:20:42 am
do i need put firewall off or on? DC Admin Offline
is this a joke? did you read ANY FAQ or guide?! it's mentioned EVERYWHERE!
you have to put your firewall OFF or to configure it correctly. otherwise nobody will be able to join your server.
edit: I can't connect. either other firewalls (like the windows firewall) are still on, or other programs are blocking or (most likely) your router is not configured correctly.
and yup, it's normal that you have a LAN IP and and an internet IP. two different things. edited 2×, last 03.01.11 11:36:47 am
But but i got one question over here, When i are using my home net work, It will never come anyone or able in the serverlist. But when i open my server on other place Example, my cousin, it will work and able in serverlist. Can u ask me how to fix that then?
And one more thing, Do u want me to change the sv_lan to 0 or 1??? edited 1×, last 05.01.11 12:01:23 pm
I have something "strange" too. When i host my server of CS2D. It says "Server ADDED to serverlost". I check in USGN site the serverlist and its there. However i left my pc whole day and nobody joined, i asked some friends but they couldnt see it o.O I have the same problem batlaizys.
Ima gona try to re-portfoward now. And the worst thing is that :
1. I Opened Port for cs2d,cs2d dedicated, made an exception to let these go through my windows firewall.
2. I dont have additional firewalls
3. My router firewall is off by default ( )
4. There is application and gaming sharing. I opened port there too (TKD helped me )
5. It still doesnt work DC Admin Offline
obvious: it's wrong router port forwarding, 100% sure. the most common problem. you all have this problem (and/or the firewall problem).
I'm saying it all the time but everyone simply ignores it and cries that it doesn't work (probably because people don't know how to change their forwarding settings - but I can't explain that because it's different for each router).
it's no wonder that it doesn't work if you ignore the most crucial thing.
@Alexkiller2895: sv_lan has to be 0. read the FAQ, it tells you everything you need to do. http://www.cs2d.com/faq.php?show=net_nojoin#net_nojoin whoops... i portfowarded to TCP lol. I have close the Firewall, Set the SV_Lan to 0, read the faq And following what they wrote and its the same problem, What can i do next? DC Admin Offline
and once again: it's your router. port forwarding. Geez GAME BANNED Offline
have you checked if Offline/LAN option is disabled?
