Stranded II Mods Tangle's Mod NOW W/ 2 (and counting)YOUTUBE VIDEOS dENd has written
release it without the map and later on just make a update with the map
it'll take like 2 weeks anyway to fix bugs
edit: I actually want this mod to be playable when I release it, so you can do random maps and such. Here's my to do list:
Finish Story Line: 50% 2 weeks at most.
Finish Random Maps (implement the new stuff in them) 0% 3 days at most.
Make a random farmer person who gives cows, chickens and, sheep 5% 2 days at most.
Fix bugs/add last combis/touchups 0% 5 days at most.
Beta testing 0% 1 week at most.
at most a month and 4 days

I just game myself a crash course on scripting!
I took the original bamboo buildings in the game and made them available to build in-game. I knew it would be complicated, but I got them to work, and even got a few items from different mods to work together! I'm pretty proud of myself. I know it's a baby step though.
But I have to commend you on all your hard work. If it was that difficult for me to re-program things that were already there, I couldn't imagine the trouble you've gone through to get your project this far! =^-^=

actually once you get the hang of scripting it gets pretty simple (kind of) but then there are some things that I have to clue how to do. Thats when i turn in to better modders like lion_hearted and mcleaf and beg for help
its not really trouble if you enjoy doing it
edit: really busy sorry , delayed release. Will work the crap out of myself on the weekend to make up for it tho
edit2: working the crap out of myself right now

So you're just working on random islands and what-not?
I'm far too detail oriented to have the patience to customize every random island! O.o'
winter break is in 2 weeks expect it released then. Just have to finish map and change script for random islands.
edit: see first post, i'm almost done!
edit: well this is obviously dead, should i still just upload what i have so people can use my models and scripts?

No matter what other people say or how much feedback you get. Feedback should only give you additional hints for further improvements, but that's all...
Personally I can say that there are phases in which you probably get bored of all that crap (doing scripts, bugfixes...) and just have no ideas what to do now. But there are also phases in which you maybe have some inspirations and instantly have ideas how to solve some problems (in most cases bugs) which seemed to be unsolvable some time ago...
In my opinion your mod is indeed not that mind-blowing (in fact I know just one and only mod which I would call that awesome...), but I still see much capability for good work.
about it not bieng too good, i never really but 100% into this sorry
If you think that extension mod was the only good one you are wrong, extension mod is one of the worst in terms of playing. Sure you added about 1,000 new things but they are all random and none of them really fit in with original S2 or the other new items, you just overloaded the game. In my opinion the best mod is lion hearted's because you can actually play it. Don't get me wrong though extension mod is by far the one that required a good skill it's just that you implemented anything that came to mind.

Anyways do you guys think I should just upload what I have for people to see and use in their other mods.
Yes.
And, does someone know why Vince86 gave up on Master of the Woods? He had a lot of cool stuffs for the release of a beta version.
