4 replies I was adding new sounds for some items I am making from a royalty free sound website. I implemented a new shotgun for my mod, but when everything was in place, the shotgun didn't make a sound when I fired it. I copied the script and everything and only modified the stats and sound name. I made sure I was using a .wav file and that I got the name and script right. I noticed that the file size was much larger than the other ones, and maybe that was why the game couldn't load it. Is there a file size limit for files, such as .wav or .mp3? DC Admin

No, there is no size limit. WAV however is only a container format and it can be encoded in many different ways. Some are not supported by the game.
I recommend using MP3 for smaller files and better compatibility. Will that work with sound effects? I use MP3 for music, so will it overwrite the music playing or will it just play alongside it? DC Admin Offline
You can use wav and mp3 for music and sound effects. Doesn't matter. Internally, after loading, the sound is played the same way anyway. It worked! thank you! 
I'm really glad that there are still people helping others with their problems they encounter with this game. It must take a lot of energy to be devoted for such a long time to a single game for as long they have.
