Well as the title states I was somewhat decieved.
I got Stranded II from the Games download page, and as I waited I looked at the screenshots.
They show an english translation of the game that is not the download it represents. Apparently I have the wrong version so I can't get the translation mod( I have dial up so it's a hassle).
I'm a total noob, so could someone please point me in the right direction of what to do to get an English translation? Thanks.

Sorry, forgot to log in.
But I've tried about every link and it just keeps saying arcor error or when i try bizzls it gimps up too.

Actually, the last link worked.
If it "gimps" (what a word. It give me creeps) up after the setup, it's possibly a version problem. EC seems to have some RL troubles (much homework or something), so S2Eng ist two steps behind the German version, and obviously noone seem to have time to make updates (plus, noone has access to ewoks space, which would imho the best place to put it since it would confuse noobs less)

I basically finished the game, except you kinda just keep sailing (beta thing I guess). Sadly there are no sheep on Normal game difficulty so I used up all the cotton plants pretty fast. I figured stuff out pretty fast, because English is like a butchery of German and many other languages. Though for some things I had to use dictionary.com (such as what 'Ich muss das in die Hand nehmen und den Benutzen' means)

Plus: A question

When the game is fully released, are you guys going to make an English version, not a mod? I know that's how it was with Stranded 1 (with a few exceptions).

Yes, of course there will be a complete english download which is fully translated without the need of installing a mod for translation or something.

But still sticking to the topic name I think the screens should be changed to relate to the actual download. If it shows screenshots it should show screenshots of the original game download thus, not a mod. Unless of course when stranded 2 is finished you will have the english version, so then the screens will reflect the download.

PS what all this about a pirate? I played adventure and all I can find is a couple lions and a monkey.

Go on playing and climb the tech tree.
Construct buildings and explore the island and you will meet him.

Well so far I've found 3, all killed so I can build my boat.

Do the animals respawn (the ones that give you hides)? If they don't I'm kind of in trouble because I still need 19 more hides.

Yes, they do.
But you do not need the sail raft at all. If you have unlocked it, you have already got the little but important item that you need to continue. Search for something to use it with.
Thank you for mentioning the word hide, btw. I didn't know it, and it seems to fit better than "skin". *replace*
